In a nutshell, I can send short commands via DM to a Twitter account that is following me. On the servers I wish to control I have installed agents that monitor the Twitter account and listen for specific messages. Given a few priority and handling rules they can process and act on the message.

    Very cool! I was actually thinking about doing something like this at work for a project but that was about a year ago when twitter was always down so it didn’t seem like a wise move at the time.
